In this experiential class we’ll be diving into the world of herbs and herbal remedies that support the nervous system—often referred to as nervine herbs, as well as other helpful plants. In our modern world most of us are overstimulated, overworked, and (really) burnt out. In addition to making space for rest and healing, there are many incredible herbal remedies and specific plants that can help support your wellness and journey back to balance.

We’ll talk about simple remedies in the form of teas, oils, tinctures, and steams that you can make at home, and take both as needed or ongoing to support adrenal health, fatigue, burnout and more. Some of the plants that we’ll discuss include ones familiar to many of us like Chamomile, Lavender and Rose, but we will also dive into the benefits of some additional incredible herbs, like Milky Oats and Oatstraw, Nettles, Linden, Lemon Balm, Tulsi (Holy Basil), Skullcap, Eleuthero, St. John’s Wort and more!

About the Kitchen Herbalism series

The deep and powerful wisdom of the herbal realm has mostly been forgotten in our modern culture. The Kitchen Herbalism series with Crystal Marie Higgins is meant to educate, inspire and provide a fun experiential immersion into the world of everyday herbalism for our health and wellness.

Crystal Marie Higgins is a lineaged Initiated High Priestess in Celtic traditions, an Initiated Witch, as well as a Yoga Teacher, a Folk Herbalist and an Ethical Marketer. She has been in devotion to earth wisdom, the cycles of the moon and the seasons since 2012. She loves to create, to cook and share that magic with others!

Crystal’s intention is to awaken our consciousness toward the radical practice of attuning your life and the flows of your creativity to the seasons of the year, the cycles of the moon and the wisdom found in the everyday. She is a lover of the plant realm, being outdoors and engaging in sacred rituals.
