For our next “in the kitchen” experiential everyday herbalism class you will learn how to make herbal infused salves and lush body butters! Herbal salves are a wonderful and natural way to moisturize your skin and dry hands and help to speed up the healing process with cuts and scrapes. Body butters are also wonderful moisturizers and they smell great.

In this experiential workshop we’ll talk about how to make a lush salve or body butter by using a good quality oil (olive oil, jojoba, almond, etc.) or herbal infused oil plus ingredients like cacao butter, shea butter, and beeswax. For those of you who attended our past class on making herbal infused body oils—you can use one of these herbal oils to make a salve, body butter or lush cream. This class will be a lot of fun, and informative! You will get a grocery list to make some herbal salve and/or body butter with us LIVE if you choose.

Making your own herbal salves and body butters can be a surprisingly accessible way to make very high quality products that last using very few ingredients in our kitchens. Plus what you make at home will be so much more cost effective than what you purchase - and it is a great way to reduce our impact on the environment. All are welcome!
